聽覺口語治療
AUDITORY- VERBAL THERAPY

聽覺口語治療法 (Auditory- Vebral Therapy, AVT) 是一種以實證為本並以家庭為中心針對聽障人士有效的訓練方法[1,2]。

治療成效實證

• 語言發展:接受AVT的兒童能達到與同齡聽常兒童相當的語言能力[3-6]

• 學習表現:接受AVT的兒童的學業成就與聽常兒童無明顯差異[7] 

• 全面優勢:在發音清晰度、語言表達和讀寫能力上,AVT效果顯著優於傳統口語訓練或綜合溝通法[8]

 

聽覺口語治療現為美國、澳洲、紐西蘭、丹麥等西方國家主流及盛行的聽障治療方法

AVT課程需由聽覺口語治療師提供,聽覺口語治療師需有言語治療師、聽力學家或聾人教師的資格,再進行為期3-5年的深造訓練及實習,通過畢業考試才能成為合資格並有國際認證的聽覺口語治療師。

服務對象

嬰幼兒及兒童

透過有趣的親子活動和教材,提升嬰幼兒/兒童的聆聽、表達、發音、認知及溝通能力。

 

聽覺口語治療重視高度的家長參與,治療師引導家長在親子互動中融入治療策略,協助孩子在日常生活中持續學習,提升治療效果。

聽障兒童能和其他人一樣使用口語溝通,擁有同等的學習機會,能融入主流學校學習,繼而在社會中發揮所長,作出貢獻。

青少年及成人

訓練聽障人士透過助聽器及/或人工耳蝸聆聽, 將聽力輔助工具的效果最佳化。治療師會建議日常的聆聽練習,讓你能在日常生活中持續練習,提升治療效果。

持之以恆的聽覺練習能讓你聽得越來越清晰,研究亦證實聽覺訓練能提升人工耳蝸使用者的語音辨認能力及整體生活質素[9]。

幼兒的大腦在3歲半前的可塑性(neuroplasticity)非常高。早期充足的聲音及語言刺激是腦部發展的養分,把握這段腦部發展的黃金期,讓幼兒配戴合適的聽力輔具並配合治療,大腦便能吸收所需的養分急速發展。
