Our founder is a speech therapist and Hong Kong’s only internationally certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist. We are passionate about bringing this globally recognized approach to more local families, helping children with hearing loss get effective care during their critical early years.
Auditory-Verbal Therapy
Dedicated to infants, toddlers, and families navigating hearing loss with hearing aids or cochlear implants. Capitalizing on the golden period of brain development, our program uses evidence-based auditory-verbal strategies to actively involve parents and empower children to build exceptional listening and spoken communication skills.
Swallowing Therapy
Addressing post-stroke swallowing difficulties, elderly choking issues, and various swallowing disorders. Our therapists specialize in utilizing advanced techniques like Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS), alongside evidence-based approaches to improve patients' swallowing safety and ability.
The Story of Swise
Like many families we work with, our path through hearing rehabilitation was full of unexpected turns, fear, and uncertainty—but it is the reason Swise exists today.
When Qiao was just one month old, she was diagnosed with bilateral severe-to-profound hearing loss. Even though I had been practicing as a speech therapist for years, infant hearing impairment wasn't my specialty. Facing a case this young and severe within my own family, I felt as overwhelmed and terrified as any parent.
While Swise provides comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing therapy for all ages, our founding mission was rooted in bringing Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT)—a gold-standard approach widely embraced overseas—to families in Hong Kong right when early brain development matters most.
